Color is a power which directly influences the soul.

Wassily Kandinsky

Dear Creativity,

You were everywhere this weekend.
In the hand-crafted signs.
In the costumed classes marching through time.
In the joyful noise of old friends reuniting after years.

But last night? Last night, you outdid yourself.

I sat in a stadium filled with Princeton graduates from across the decades.
Different years and journeys—but all of us are connected by something shared.

And then the fireworks began. Not just bursts of light, but choreography. Explosions timed perfectly to music—like you were painting with sound, rhythm, and fire.

Fireworks bursting in front of a full stadium crowd.

You reminded me that creativity doesn’t always show up in solitude.
Sometimes it lives in the collective. In tradition and reunion.
In a chorus of voices rising together to sing the alma mater before the grand finale.

That moment—the color, the sound, the unity—it was magic. Not because it was flashy, but because it was felt.
We weren’t just watching. We were part of it.

Thank you, Creativity, for reminding me that the best ideas often end with others besides us.
Cheering, dancing, remembering.

And sometimes… looking up in awe.
May we all enjoy a moment of awe from time to time.

Innovatively yours,
Dr. Abigail
