Little notes. Big Lift. ✈️

Dear Creativity,

You know I’m not the easiest traveler.

I like my comforts, my routines, my familiar little rituals — probably because I’ve had my share of travel mishaps over the years.

But today, somewhere between the security line and 30,000 feet in the air, you reminded me that you can show up anywhere.

In the TSA agent moving people through the lines, not with a robotic monotone delivery, but with a grin and a few jokes to make us laugh.

The gate agent with the cheeriest voice thanked every single one of us for a smooth boarding and wished us the best for the flight ahead.

Even in a restroom stall — yes, I know we’re not supposed to write on the walls — but there it was: a tiny message telling me I’m lovely. And you know what? I believed it.

You're Lovely!
Little notes in a restroom stall.

I know you had your hand in all of this.

A reminder that creativity isn’t always a grand gesture or a finished masterpiece.

Sometimes it’s a joke in a stressful line.
Sometimes it’s a bright, sincere thank you.
Sometimes it’s a stranger scribbling kindness where you least expect it.

All of it makes traveling — and living — feel just a little softer.

So thank you for packing yourself into my day, and for reminding me that you don’t need an invitation to tag along.

You just show up, wherever we are.

And now I’m wondering…

What’s the little note I might leave behind next time, to give someone else a big lift?

Innovatively yours,
Dr. Abigail
