Dear Creativity,
Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the number 100 and how it shows up in our lives. Yesterday, The Hatchery reached 100 members. One hundred people who said yes to building something creative, honest, and brave — together. That feels big.

It reminded me of other 100s.
The first 100 days of school, when everything is new and kids wear paper crowns to celebrate how far they’ve come.
The first 100 days of political office, when intentions are set and bold plans are announced.
The 100 Day Project — a personal creative commitment I’ve started more than once… and finished, well, not quite 100 times.
Still, 100 has a solid feel to it.
It says this community is real now. This community has roots and a solid foundation.
So I’ve been wondering — what does it mean to cross 100 in a space like The Hatchery? In a place designed for the hatching of ideas?
Maybe it’s not about a finish line at all. Maybe it’s a signal that the incubator is warm, the energy is rising, and it’s time to start asking what’s next, not with pressure, but with possibility and extensive partnership with you, Creativity.
Thank you for sticking with me through the slow build. And for showing me that every small step adds up, even if I don’t notice it until I look back and count.
So now I am wondering:
What might hatch when we treat the first 100 not as a milestone… but as a beginning?
Innovatively yours,
Dr. Abigail
